Children's Internet Protection Act

The Children’s Internet Protection Act is used to monitor what students see and do on the internet.  The school must filter the internet access. This limits the websites that can be used on the computer. Obscene pictures and pages cannot be accessed. The filtering can be taken off by an authorized user.

This will be very important to use in my classroom. I want my classroom to be a safe learning environment. There are so many inappropriate things that can be seen online. I do not want to be held liable for anything inappropriate that is seen in my class. I will teach my students the safe way to use the internet. There are many learning opportunities with the internet, if we can use it the correct way.
