Response to 'Safe' Social Networking Tailored for K-12 Schools

In this article, the teachers were not blocking social networking but embracing it. Some teachers were using it to allow the students to talk to historical figure. There are many websites that can be fun and educational. The teachers monitor what the students are doing and there are many scanners. Some scanners protect from foul language and inappropriate images.
I could use ePals to finish lessons that we did not have enough time for in class. Since I have become a student at USM I have been on Blackboard more than I have been in class. This provides me with powerpoints, assessments, and assignments. I can use this website to help the children with each lesson. I enjoy having notes and powerpoints accessible to me on the internet. These websites are more focused on education and not about socializing.
